Devotees Gift 1.75 Kg Silver Broom To Ayodhya Ram Mandir, Request It To Be Used For Cleaning

Days after the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, members of the 'Akhil Bharatiya Mang Samaj,' devoted to Ram, made a significant donation to the Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust by presenting a 1.751 kg silver broom.

ANI reported that these devotees specifically requested the broom be used for cleaning the Garbha Griha. Video footage captured the devotees proudly leading a procession, lifting the silver broom high and adorning it with garlands.

“Devotees of Shri Ram from the ‘Akhil Bharatiya Mang Samaj’ donate a silver broom to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, with a request that it be used for cleaning the Garbha Griha. The silver broom weighs 1.751 kg,” news agency ANI wrote sharing a video of the same on X (Formerly Twitter).

“Diwali like events were celebrated around the world on January 22,” Madhukar Rao Devhare, a member of Akhil Bharatiya Mang Samaj, told ANI.

“The broom is also kept for worship during the diwali celebration, hence, the Akhil Bharatiya Mang Samaj gifted a silver broom to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust,” Devhare added.

Ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, devotees worldwide expressed their reverence by sending various gifts to the temple, including a 108-foot-long incense stick, a Ram Temple-themed necklace, a 1,265 kg laddu, a crown made of precious gems, a silk bed sheet adorned with depictions of the Shri Ram Temple and more.

Ayodhya has?witnessed a remarkable influx of devotees

Since its inauguration on January 22, the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has witnessed a remarkable influx of devotees, with nearly 19 lakh visitors, as reported by India Today. Following the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony, which opened the temple to the public on January 23, an estimated 18.75 lakh devotees from across the nation have paid their respects. The inaugural day alone saw an astounding 5 lakh visitors, and this momentum has continued, with daily footfalls averaging over 2 lakh.

As per the revised schedule issued by the temple trust, each day commences with the Shringaar aarti of the Ram Lalla idol at 4:30 am, followed by the Mangala prayer at 6:30 am. Devotees are then welcome to seek blessings from Lord Ram at the temple from 7 am onwards.
