Violence perpetrated in the name of cow protection has almost turned into a norm in our country, all thanks to the 'Gau Rakhshak' squad who can apparently smell the meat from a mile away.?
More recently,?a hotel in Jaipur was sealed over a complaint made by Sadhvi Kamal, national president of the Rashtriya Mahila Gau Rakshak Seva Mandal, alleging that a hotel named Hayat Rabbani in the pink city was cooking beef.?
It all started, when Sadhvi aka Kamal Didi, spotted a worker from Hayat Rabbani throwing a bag into a municipal corporation dustbin on Sunday night. After which a group of??150 cow vigilantes gathered outside the hotel to stage a protest.?
The group of angry protesters were chanting slogans like?Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Narendra Modi Zindabad, and Hayat Rabbani Muradabad¡¯
Rajasthan Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration or Export) Act, 1995 bans slaughter of all bovine animals. Sale and possession are also prohibited under this law.?

Assistant commissioner of police Neeraj Pathak said that a case was filed by a few people on Sunday against the hotel under Section 295 A (injuring or defiling place of worship).
As soon as the police reached the spot, they booked?Naeem Rabbani, manager of the hotel and worker who threw the suspicious garbage, under Section 151 of CrPC.??The hotel was sealed because the owner didn't have valid licence to run the hotel.?
"The hotel will remain sealed till the owner procures licences from JMC. Several complaints in the past were also received from neighbours that the hotelier is dumping non-vegetarian leftovers in the open. We are also investigating if the owner was serving beef or not," said?City mayor Ashok Lahoti
For now, the meat sample has been sent to a lab to determine if it was beef or just chicken as the hotel staff claimed.
A similar case cow protection took the country by storm in 2015 when a mob in UP¡¯s Dadri lynched 50-year-old Mohammad Akhlaq to death over rumours that his family possessed beef.
