In a massive haul, Karnataka Police have seized 9,872 kilograms of ganja after busting a marijuana cultivation racket in the Rampura area of Chitradurga district.?
The police have also arrested three people in connection with the case. However, the main accused is still at large.
According to a report by Times Now News, the police busted the racket 9,872 kilograms of ganja after busting a marijuana cultivation racket.
Chitradurga Superintendent of Police (SP) G Radhika ordered the marijuana crop to be slashed and some of it was taken away as evidence.
The land was rented from three brothers in the area and there was no written agreement for the lease.
Moreover, the police added that the three brothers claimed they did not have any knowledge of whether the ganja was being cultivated on the land.
In another incident in Jind last month, police seized 270 kg ganja being smuggled in a canter from Visakhapatnam and arrested two persons in this connection.?
Last month, Haryana police caught six people after smack worth Rs 1 crore and 270-kilogram ganja were recovered in separate incidents in Rohtak and Jind.
