A man shared how he booked business class tickets for his parents in a Twitter thread.?The man, who is originally from India and living in the US, shared a post on the micro-blogging site about booking business class flight tickets for his parents.

"Feeling extra grown up"

Gaurav Sabnis, an associate professor living in the?US, wrote, "First time booking business class tickets for parents to visit us here from India. Feeling extra grown up. Finally able to afford a?flight?in which parents can stretch out and sleep. Mom dad were still like "kharcha kashala ugich" but I put my foot down."

"Especially excited for Mom"

Gaurav shared how his mom finds joy in the smallest things in life.He said, "I'm especially excited for Mom to experience a long haul international business class 777 journey for the first time. She finds joy in the smallest things in life. She's gonna be like an excited kid when she lands. Dad will be like, 'Bed. Good. Wake me up in New York.'"

"Mom is a hardened traveler"

"Mom is a hardened traveler. Dad is a retd highway bridge engineer. So from her 20s, she has done all kinds of rough, bumpy, even dangerous journeys, often with us 2 kids in tow, with a smile on her face. So she finds even economy class air travel full of things to be happy about," he added.

Gaurav shared the problems Indian women face while travelling long hours. "I still remember when I was a kid, I used to be confused about why my mom barely drank any water during our 16-24 hour bumpy bus rides between Pune & Indore. While I guzzled water like anything. Only after growing up did I realize why many Indian women have to do that," he tweeted.

He recalled his mother's first visit to the US 15 years ago.?Gaurav added, "As soon as I posted the tweet, I was thinking 'small joy???' Yeah, big joy for sure."
