Following the incident, services of the two lab technicians whose oversight caused the infection has been terminated.
What is even more shocking is that the donator was tested positive for HIV in 2016 during a blood donation camp in Sivakasi. But instead of informing him about his condition, the counselor there told him that he had a rare blood group.
