A 65 year-old man was beaten to death by his neighbour in Delhi's Shahdara area amid the national lockdown.
The elderly man was beaten to death by his neighbour over vegetables in the food being distributed to the needy. It is being said the accused neighbour had started to fighting with the bhandara organisers for serving less vegetables.
The deceased identified at Santlal, tried to talk out the accused, Nanhe, from fighting with the bhandara organisers. However, it all turned out for the worse, as Nanhe picked up the stick and hit Santlal on the head before fleeing, according to the police.?
Santlal was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.?Police have booked the accused and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
Police said that Santlal owned an electrical repair shop and his family was depending on the food distribution for their meals after the shop shut for the lockdown. The son of deceased claimed that his father was worried if any trouble broke out, bhandara operators would shut down, reports TOI.
