A video has gone viral on social media showing a man riding a two-wheeler inside a hospital building in Kota, Rajasthan.
The incident reportedly happened on Thursday at the MBS Hospital Kota.
In the video, the man can be seen riding his scooty inside the hospital while a young boy who has his leg plastered is seated behind him.
As baffled onlookers, including patients, hospital staff, and even security watched on, the man took his electric scooter to the lift.
The man, later identified as Manoj Jain, a lawyer by profession, reportedly took the lift to the third floor of the hospital's orthopaedic ward.
He got his son's leg plastered, and while he tried to leave the hospital's third floor with his two-wheeler, he was intercepted by the hospital in charge, Devkinandan Bansal.
After Bansal took away the key of the two-wheeler, Jain got into a heated argument with the in charge over the lack of facilities there, which forced him to take the unusual step.
According to Jain, he was forced to take the extraordinary step after the hospital staff failed to get a wheelchair to take his injured son to the doctor.
As matters escalated, the police were informed, who rushed to the spot, and brought matters under control.
Later the hospital admitted that there was a shortage of wheelchairs for patients but assured that steps are being taken to increase their availability.
