This week's standout dish is papad pasta! Believe it or not, an Instagram creator whipped up pasta using papad, and despite how strange it sounds, it's apparently tasty - even the Italian Consul General approves!
Chef Saransh Goila shared his Papad Pasta recipe on Instagram and even got Consul General of Italy, Alessandro De Masi, to taste it.
Posting the video on Instagram, Saransh Goila wrote, "Will the Italian Consul General like Papad Pasta? Will I get to go to Italy and share Papad Pasta with people? A big shoutout to Alessandro De Masi who kindly agreed to visit Delishaaas HQ to try our version of Pasta. I hope I made my Sindhi heritage proud."
The chef was confident in his innovation, and Alessandro instantly fell in love with the dish, despite initially having doubts about some of Goila's ingredient choices.
Here's how Chef Saransh Goila makes papad pasta:
To begin, soak 6 papads in ice water and sprinkle some semolina on a board. Next, place the papads on the board, coat them with semolina, and set them aside. Now, fill each papad generously with stuffing and roll them tightly.
Prepare an oven tray by spreading butter on it, then arrange the papad pasta on it. After that, spread a layer of tomato sauce over the papad pasta, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and finally, bake at 170 degrees Celsius for 12 minutes until golden and crispy. Enjoy your unique and delicious papad pasta creation!
