Much to their dismay, the cots aren't meant as free gifts for those who attend Rahul Gandhi's khat sabhas. "Khat mat le jao, in khaton ko anya jagahon par khat sabha mein bheja jayega" (Don't take the cots. These cots will be sent to other places for khat sabha)," a stern voice echoed at the venue of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's Khat Sabha at Madihan after he departed from the place on Wednesday.

At the end of Khat Sabha, some people tried to take away the cots with them, but they were stopped by Congress volunteers. A party leader on mic was warning the crowd not to make any such attempt.

An impressive gathering including women in large number congregated at Rahul's Khat Sabha. Many of them were heard saying that they had gone there to get cots. "Humko kaha gaya tha ki khat milega, leking ye log to mana kar rahe hain," (We were told that we would get cots, but here they are denying) said a villager adding that they felt cheated.

Many women were seen approaching reports to get 'parchi' (receipt). When asked why they are looking for parchi they said that it would get their loans waived off. An old man came asking some pass for going to Delhi for rally. "We were told that we are going to Delhi, that's why I am asking for a pass," he said.
