Rahul Gandhi gave Prime Minister Narendra Modi a hug. Yes, you read that right.
Mocked and underestimated in his political career, Congress President Rahul Gandhi did something nobody saw coming. After attacking PM Modi with scathing remarks and criticism, RaGa went on to hug him, thereby inviting a pandemonium and thunderous applause in the parliament. Rahul Gandhi hugged PM Narendra Modi after giving his speech during the ongoing No-confidence motion. Though Modi seemed a little taken aback at first, he then shook hands and smiled with Gandhi.
Gandhi slammed the BJP and the Prime Minister in his speech during the no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha."The PM is a bhagidaar, not a chowkidaar," he said. Claiming that India was a victim of ¡®jumla strikes¡¯, he said the PM had lost touch with the wishes of the common people. ¡°Who are victims of the jumla strike? Dalits, tribals, women, youth,¡± Rahul said. He also targeted the Modi government over rising unemployment in the country.
Not just this gesture, but a clip of Gandhi winking at the parliament has also gone viral, leaving people in splits with his resemblance to his father, and commenting that Gandhi may have finally 'come of age' in his political career.
