The autopsy report of the 16-year-old who went missing on December 23 and was reportedly found to be gangraped and murdered, has revealed that the accused continued to rape her even after her death.
The girl had gone missing when she was out grazing her goats in the fields. On their return in the evening, the two girls told the victim's parents that she had stopped in between to relieve herself. However, as she did not return for long, they moved ahead.
The girl's parents and relatives then launched a search, only to find her naked body, police said.
Two people have been arrested in the case.
The minor¡¯s naked body bearing bite marks and fatal wounds to the neck and the head was found in a forest area near Kalakunwa village under the Basoli police station area on Thursday evening, they said.
The police launched a massive overnight search operation involving nearly 200 personnel and the dog squad, and tracked down one of the suspects, Sultan, by Friday morning, Bundi Superintendent of Police (SP) Jai Yadav had told the news agency PTI in December.
The man was taken into custody and during interrogation, he admitted that he had committed the crime along with Chotulal Bheel, the SP said, adding both were placed under arrest within 12 hours of the crime.
The accused were in an inebriated state when they gang-raped the girl. Later, they smashed her head with a stone and strangled her, the police officer said, adding that the role of a minor is also under investigation in the matter.
The post-mortem report further revealed that the accused had tied the girl up with her dupatta before raping her.?
Bundi SP Jai Yadav said: ¡°I have never seen such a ghastly incident in my life. Members of the Bundi Bar Association have also declared that they will not defend the accused in court.¡±
The two accused have been booked under Section 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence) and 376(rape) of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
