Tina Dabi, IAS, who has been serving as the District Collector of Jaisalmer, has been transferred to Barmer, while her husband, Dr. Pradeep K. Gawande, has been appointed the Collector of Jalore.??
Who is Tina Dabi
Dabi, a 2016 batch IAS officer, has previously worked as the Commissioner of the Employment Guarantee Scheme in Jaipur and as the Chief Executive Officer of the District Council of Sri Ganganagar.??

The 30-year-old, who was born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, did her initial schooling at the Carmel Convent School, Bhopal, before moving to Delhi, where she studied at the Convent of Jesus and Mary School.??
Dabi graduated in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College at Delhi University.??

She cleared the UPSC exam in 2015, in her first attempt, bagging the first rank and started her administrative career as the Assistant Collector of Ajmer in 2017.??
Dabi's younger sister, Ria Dabi, also followed in her footsteps and cleared the UPSC exam in 2020 with an all-India rank of 15.??
Tina Dabi's controversies
While Tina Dabi has been celebrated for her success in the UPSC exam and has become an idol for many aspirants, both her career and personal life have made more headlines for controversies.??
Her first marriage, to Athar Aamir Khan, an IAS officer who was the second rank-holder in the 2015 UPSC civil services exam, in 2018, evoked sharp reactions and hate comments from fundamentalists. Many right-wing trolls had attacked the couple, claiming it was a case of 'Love Jihad'.??
The couple separated in August 2021, and Dabi married her current husband, Pradeep Gawande, in April 2022.??
In 2023, Dabi was once again targeted by right-wing fundamentalists after she ordered the demolition of 'illegal houses' of Pakistani Hindu refugees who were living on government land, while she was the District Collector of Jaisalmer.
