Bombay high court has quashed a case of criminal intimidation against two persons and directed them to volunteer to clean up Versova beach on weekends for a month.
A bench headed by justice Ranjit More on October 1 heard a plea by Angad Sethi (22) and Kunwar Sethi (25), seeking to quash the first information report (FIR) filed by the Bandra-Kurla Complex police station on September 10, 2017.
According to the FIR, they had threatened a hotel owner with a fake gun and demanded he opened his establishment and serve them. In their plea, the duo said the firearm didn't have any bullets.

Senior advocate Ashok Mundargi, representing the duo, said they had amicably settled the matter with the complainant. "We are willing to pay monetary compensation too," he added.
The bench said monetary compensation would serve no purpose as their parents would pay up. "We want the accused to pay individually," said the bench. Mundargi then said his clients would do community service.
