In a shocking development, a female doctor incurred severe injuries after a ward boy from a private hospital in Maharashtra's Nashik allegedly stabbed her with scissors for scolding him and his girlfriend.
The incident occurred late Sunday night at NIMS Hospital in the Gangapur Road area.?
"The victim doctor, Sonal Darade, scolded the ward boy and his girlfriend. Angry with her, the ward boy attacked her with a pair of scissors on her neck and stomach. She was seriously injured in the attack," a police official told PTI.
The cop revealed that Dr Darade's condition is stable and she is reported to be out of danger.?
"A case of attempt to murder was registered against the accused. The police arrested him on Tuesday and produced him in a court, which remanded him to two-day police custody," he added.
The official said that Dr Darade's statement will be recorded once her condition improves and further investigation into the case is on.?
Earlier in December, a school teacher in Delhi allegedly hit a female student with scissors and flung her from the first floor of the building.?
The incident occurred at the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD)-run Prathmik Vidyalaya in central Delhi's Model Basti area.
The Class V student was rushed to the Hindurao hospital, where her condition was stated to be out of danger.
Following the incident, the accused teacher, identified as Geeta Deshwal, was suspended by the MCD. The police also detained her. Based on the eyewitness statement, a case under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered against her.?
