It looks that there is seriously something wrong with the Bihar¡¯seducation system. One is surprised to see that they give the candidates theunexpected marks and more than total marks.
In a latest example and that shocked everyone is of an undergraduate student of the state-run Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) in Bihar¡¯s Darbhanga district got 151 out of 100 in one of the papers.
The student of BA (Honours) got the marks in hisPolitical Science paper-4 in the part-2 examination of the varsity, he said onSunday.
¡°I was really surprised to see the results.Although it was a provisional mark sheet, authorities should have checked itbefore releasing the result,¡± he told PTI.
Another student, who secured zero in Accounting and Finance paper-4 in his B. Com part-2 examination, was promoted to the next grade.
¡°The university admitted that it was a typing error and they issued me a revised mark sheet,¡± he said.
The varsity¡¯s registrar, Mushtaq Ahmed, told PTIthat both marksheets had typing errors.
¡°After correcting the typographical errors, the two studentswere issued fresh mark sheets. Those were simply typographical errors, nothingelse,¡± he said.
This is not for the first time that Bihar¡¯sEducation department is repeating this mistake but in past too they have been doingso.
In 2018, controversy haunts the BiharSchool Examination Board (BSEB) year after year. In the intermediate (Class XII)results some students got more than 100% in some subjects, some got blankmarksheets while some others who claimed to have qualified the IIT-JEE(advanced) test were marked ¡°failed¡±.
A student had then reportedly said that he got 38 out of the total 35 marks in mathematics (theory) and 37 out of 35 in the Bihar Board Maths objective-type questions. Similarly, another student had from East Champaran got 38 out of 35 in the theory paper of physics, while another Rahul from Darbhanga got 40 out of 35 in the objective.
