On Saturday (November 16), he campaigned for a BJP candidate in Maharashtra ahead of the upcoming elections and urged the voters to ‘protect Sanatana Dharma’. He also paid tribute to the late Balasaheb Thackeray, calling him an inspiration.?

About Pawan Kalyan’s political journey

Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi’s younger brother, began his Tollywood career with Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi (1996). He subsequently found a foothold in the industry with films such as Tholi Prema (1998), Gabbar Singh (2012), and Gopala Gopala (2015). He began his political journey in 2008 as the President of the youth wing of the Praja Rajyam Party , which was founded by ‘Megastar’. It was, however, his decision to form the Jana Sena Party in 2014 that proved to be a gamechanger for him in the long run.

The party faced setbacks in the initial years but made up for them in 2024 Andhra Pradesh Elections, winning all 21 seats it contested on. Pawan Kalyan is the current Deputy CM of the state.
