What a FIFA it was! Amidst all the excitement and celebrations around Argentina winning the FIFA World Cup 2022, an Indian minister has an intriguing claim. MP’s congress minister Abdul Khaleque has claimed that ace footballer of this year’s winning team, Lionel Messi was born in Assam. Here’s what Twitter has to say.

Although India didn’t play in FIFA it had a glorious representation by Deepika Padukone unveiling the trophy and Nora Fatehi opening the event with her dance performance.

Nora who performed her FIFA anthem in both the opening and closing ceremony of FIFA shared a clip from the event and wrote on Instagram, "And then it happened.. Fifa Worldcup closing ceremony.. Light the sky.. @fifaworldcup han’ds down the most beautiful epic moment in my career! The World was watching”

Earlier Nora performed at the FIFA fan festival on December 1 in Doha and danced to several Bollywood hit numbers. Nora also waved the Indian flag at the event and screamed Jai Hind during her performance. The finale wherein was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan, Mohanlal, Ranveer Singh, Mamooty, and Kartik Aaryan among other Indian celebrities.

Nora on the personal front recently filed a defamation case against Jacqueline Fernandez in conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar's money laundering case.

But do you know, Jacqueline judged Nora on Jhalak Dikh Laa Jaa Season 9? In a brief interaction after Nora performed belly dancing on stage, Jacqueline said, “My goodness! You are really hot. On the work front, Nora was last seen co-starring with Ayushmann Khurrana in Jehda Nasha's song from the film An Action Hero. She’ll soon be seen playing a laughing bone with Sajid Khan’s comeback directorial 100%. The film will also feature Shehnaaz Gill, John Abraham and Riteish Deshmukh.
