Rana's transgression occurred during the clash at Eden Gardens, where he?was reported?for a level one?offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL's Code of Conduct. The incident unfolded when Rana gestured for Abishek Porel to return to the pavilion after dismissing him in the seventh over of the match.?
Despite being hit for three boundaries in the same over, Rana bounced back strongly, knocking over the stumps in his next over.?The specific guideline breached by Rana, Article 2.5, pertains to actions or gestures that could provoke an aggressive reaction from another player upon their dismissal.?This?includes excessive celebration, verbal abuse, or gesturing towards the pavilion.
