Vinesh Phogat is wondering if India's daughters will get justice in this "atmosphere of fear and intimation", as per PTI.??
Phogat tweeted just days after the 'minor', whose complaint was an integral part of the FIR against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh under the POCSO Act withdrew her allegations of sexual harassment.
"Will the daughters get justice in the atmosphere of fear and intimidation???" Vinesh tweeted from her official handle.?
"May these daughters not lose courage one by one because of the delay in this fight for justice??? God give courage to all," she also tweeted.?
The minor's father informed PTI that the charges against Singh were levelled as he wanted to settle a score with him as he held him responsible for his daughter's defeat in trials for the Under 17 Asian Championships.?
Vinesh, along with Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, had alleged Brij Bhushan sexually exploited many female wrestlers.?
?On June 7, they agreed to temporarily suspend their protest for one week after the government requested asked them to wait till the cops completed their probe by June 15.?
The wrestlers met Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and said they were assured that the police would withdraw the FIRs against them.?
They had been booked for violation of law and order on May 28 when they organised a march towards the new Parliament building with no permission in order to hold a 'Mahila Samman Mahapachayat'.??
