Television actress Ridhima Pandit has addressed recent rumors linking her to Indian cricketer Shubman Gill. Speculations had been circulating for days, suggesting that the actress would marry the opening batter in December this year. On May 31, Ridhima Pandit finally clarified the situation on her Instagram account, dispelling the marriage rumors.
In a video shared on her Instagram story, the 33-year-old actress firmly denied any plans of marrying Shubman Gill. She stated, ¡°I woke up with a lot of calls from journalists asking about my marriage, but what marriage? I am not getting married and if something important like this is happening in my life I myself would come out and announce the news, there is no truth to this news.¡± Ridhima emphasized that she would have personally confirmed the news if she were indeed planning such an important event.
Reports earlier in May had suggested that Ridhima Pandit and Shubman Gill would tie the knot in Jaipur, and that they intended to keep their marriage a secret. These rumors had generated a significant buzz, especially on entertainment websites and forums. The speculation even drew reactions from top Bollywood-related accounts, which celebrated the potential union of the actress and the cricketer.
However, some fans remain skeptical, questioning whether the marriage rumors are merely a publicity stunt by Ridhima¡¯s PR team. This suspicion is partly fueled by recent excitement among fans about the possibility of Ridhima playing a role in the popular television series Naagin.
Ridhima Pandit is known for her roles in television shows such as Bahu Hamari Rajnikant and Khatra Khatra Khatra. She participated in Bigg Boss OTT Season 1 in 2021 and finished second on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 in 2019. Additionally, she appeared in the web series Hum: I¡¯m Because of Us. Recently, she made headlines by accusing the producer of her former show Shubh Shagun of harassment and non-payment of dues.
On the cricketing front, Shubman Gill is among the traveling reserves for Team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the USA. Earlier in IPL Gill-led Gujarat Titans finished at 8th position of the IPL table.
