Jenny Stansel had to leave on medical leave after she learnt that her kidneys are not supporting her body anymore.?
She was in the middle of a flight when an unbearable pain took over the best of her and she had to take a passenger's seat to rest. She was admitted to the hospital that day.?

She then learnt that her kidneys were failing and that she had to spend?nearly half of her day, every day, on dialysis. She then asked co-workers and friends to take a test?to see if they might be a good donor and Captain Jodi was the first one to sign up.?
"She sent out the word and when I filled out the paperwork I think the title of the fax I sent in was girl I got your kidney and then I was joking with her that I was going to deliver the kidney on the beverage cart on an ice bucket, haha!" said Captain Jody Harskamp.

Turning this unfortunate situation into a favourable one, Captain Jodi ended up donating her kidney to Jenny and both of them are fine now.?
"If it means Jenni is going to get another 20, 30, 40, 50 years out of my kidney and I'm going to live just as long as I was going to live before, why not?" said an elated Jodi.
On Monday, Harskamp was back to work for the first time since the donation. Both of them barely knew each other prior to the donation drive, but they now share a bond for life.?
