The coronavirus pandemic has put life at a standstill, but the tough times are bringing out the best in people. Everyone is doing their bit to help bring cheer in each other's life.
We have seen instances of people being the good samaritans in these testing times and now a mystery man is doing his bit by arranging to buy his entire village fish and chips in a bid to bring the community together during the coronavirus lockdown.
BBC reported? a man named Stephen Davidson, owner of The Fox Inn in Denchworth, Oxfordshire, saying he had been recruited by his fellow villager to ensure people in the vicinity aren't devoid of meals.?
It is been said that the meals will be delivered on every Friday and there are plans for more in the coming weeks.
Davidson said of the mystery donor,?"He was prepared to fund, once a week, a takeaway for every member of the village.?He said he'd like to do it for a minimum of 12 weeks. Depending how things go he may up it to two a week."
"He may carry it on longer than that depending on the need and the take up on it. He thinks people like him who are fortunate to be in their situation should do something for their communities if at all possible." he added.?
Denchworth is near the town of Wantage,?a historic market town and civil parish in the ceremonial county of Oxfordshire, and has 171 residents.
BBC reported Davidson saying that the scheme would be carried out by a small group of volunteers wearing disposable gloves and masks while he and his wife cooked the meals in the pub kitchen adhering to strict hygiene standards.
In later weeks the pub may vary the menu to include curries and roast meals, he added.
Isn't that heartwarming? A man keeping his identity hidden, but ensuring everyone.
