McDonald's may not be everyone¡¯s favourite but it reigns supreme in the world of fast food for a reason. But here's the kicker: a McDonald's burger is not just any ordinary burger¡ªit's practically immortal! Yes, you heard that right. Sounds unbelievable? Buckle up, because we are about to dive into the bizarre world of everlasting fast food.
Recent revelations have shown that McDonald's burgers can last for decades without decomposing.?
According to a report from the New York Post, two Aussie friends, Casey Dean and Eduards Nits, grabbed a Quarter Pounder with cheese from a McDonald's in Adelaide back in 1995.
"Being teenagers we ordered a truckload of food, and it was just way too much," Mr Dean told AFP. "It started a chain of events where we were joking 'imagine if we kept this forever.'"

And guess what? They actually did! They lovingly called it "their mate" and kept it safe for nearly 30 years!?
Now it's known as the "McFossil" because it's still looking fresh, with no gross smells or mold. Sure, it's shrunk a bit, but who wouldn't after all that time?
You'd think they must have stored it super carefully, right? Nope! It was just chilling in a basic cardboard box in a hot shed in Adelaide, where temperatures hit over 30 degrees Celsius in the summer.
"The rats had actually eaten through the plastic bag, heaps of clothes, got into the box and they'd left the burger," said Dean.
So, how come it's still around??
McDonald's says it's because of the dry environment that stops mold and bacteria from growing. They even suggest that if you leave homemade food to dry out, you might see similar results.?
But it does add, ¡°Look closely, the burgers you are seeing are likely dried out and dehydrated, and by no means 'the same as the day they were purchased.'"
