Meet Harsahej Singh Anand, a turban wearing Sikh living in Soho in NYC, who has recently joined Nike¡¯s latest campaign. His?life-size posters have appeared in a mall in Soho, NYC and other major locations like Hong Kong.?Nike, primarily a footwear manufacturing company, is today?engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories, and services.
In a recent post on Instagram, he shared photos with his family and friends reacting to his pictures displayed in public. The pictures beautifully depict the happiness and joy of his whole family.
In the caption, he reveals that his parents migrated to the US a few decades ago and suffered a great deal of injustice and persecution. He will go to the store in NYC and always dream of being there. ¡°I am very excited to announce that my Nike campaign has been officially released on Nike Soho and in major locations around the world. Growing up as a Sikh, I have always visited this store in NYC and One day I dreamed of going there and living. 20 years ago, my parents came to this country and they were treated unfairly. It is for the judge. It is for the downtrodden. It represents a ray of hope. Humble to do ¡°, he wrote.
Earlier,?clothing retailer H&M made headlines for its ¡°Close the Loop¡± ad campaign promoting consumer clothing recycling. The campaign includes models from all walks of life, body types, and cultures, and one part of the campaign features a row of bearded Sikh men wearing color-coordinated suits and turbans. Recently, these chic Sikh men were displayed on the H&M digital billboard in Times Square, New York City.
