Joaquin Garcia (69) could easily become a motivational speaker for everyone who hates their job, for the man skipped work for six years and nobody noticed! And what's even better (or worse?) is the fact that he kept getting paid!

With a job description that required him to oversee the construction of a waste treatment facility, Garcia reportedly said that his job didn't really require him to do any work, and he simply kept showing up for brief periods so that he could continue supporting his family.

It was when the employers decided to facilitate the man for 20 years of service did they realize that he wasn't an active worker to begin with. And viola! Gracia has now been fined with $30,000 - a payment worth one year's salary.
This incident must sound familiar closer home - remember in 2015, a civil servant was fired for skipping work for 24 years?
Too bad Garcia couldn't make a record-breaking absence.?
