Stephen Hawkings Reveals Our Days Are Numbered, Says We're Doomed If We Don't Colonise Mars

At the Starmus Festival, scientific conference in Trondheim, Professor Stephen Hawking warned that human race must start leaving Earth within 30 years to avoid being left with no space caused by over-population.

In his speech, Hawkings said that?mankind's days on Earth are numbered due to the threat from asteroids, black holes, supernova, and solar radiation

"I am convinced that humans need to leave earth. The Earth is becoming too small for us, our physical resources are being drained at an alarming rate." said Hawkings.

"We have given our planet the disastrous gift of climate change, rising temperatures, the reducing of polar ice caps, deforestation and decimation of animal species."

Stephen Hawking said: "Firstly, the Earth is under threat from so many areas that it is difficult for me to be positive - the threats are too big and too numerous."

He warned that the Earth is becoming too small to sustain the ever growing population. But the only way to veer away from this threat is for the world to unite. If we don't take the situation seriously, he said, "we will still perish, because with current technology we have no way of reaching the nearest potentially habitable planet which is billions of light years away."

"It is time to explore other solar systems, spreading out may be the only thing that saves us from ourselves." said Hawkings?
