More recently four bakers who became trapped for two days inside the bakery ?decided to make as many loaves of bread as possible for their community.
The four bakers had been on a late shift when the heavy floods hit. ?And instead of mopping about their situation, the men decided to roll up their sleeves and get baking.
The bakers used the continuing power supply and used more than 4,200 pounds of flour to create hundreds of loaves and sheets of pan dulce.
"When they realised they were stuck, they decided to keep themselves busy and help the community and made as many loaves of bread as they could."
¡°By the time the owner managed to get to them, they had made so much bread that we took the loaves to loads of emergency centers across the city for people affected by the floods,¡± the store¡¯s manager, Brian Alvarado, told The Independent.
