The UEFA European Football Championship, popularly known as the Euros, is arguably the second-most high-profile football tournament in the world after the FIFA World Cup, and is all set to begin in Germany on Friday, June 14. A total of 24 teams will take part in UEFA Euro 2024, which will conclude on July 14. UEFA Euro 2024 will see a total of 51 games, played at ten venues across ten German cities.
Being one of the biggest football tournaments in the world, the UEFA Euro 2024 also comes with massive prize money which will be distributed among the teams based on their performance.
The total prize money pool for Euro 2024 is €331 million, the same amount as in Euro 2020, and the winning team could take home as much as €28.25 million (approximately ?248.91 crores) if they remain undefeated throughout the tournament.
Just winning the final alone comes with prize money of €8 million (INR 71 crore). Every participating team will make a maximum of €3 million (INR 24 crore) for the three games they will play in the first round of UEFA Euro 2024.
