As the US Presidential Election battle intensifies, incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris, who was a late entrant in the race, is making steady progress in recovering lost ground due to the disastrous Joe Biden campaign.
The 59-year-old Harris, who is of mixed heritage¡ªhalf Indian and half Jamaican¡ªis aiming to achieve something that no woman has been able to accomplish so far: becoming the President of the USA.
At a time when her race has been a key focus for Republican attacks, Democrats are returning the favor. A new campaign, White Dudes for Harris, was launched on Monday, and a Zoom call alone raked in more than $4 million, including cash and merchandise sales for the Harris camp.
The invitation for the call had urged participants to not ¡°let the MAGA crowd bully other white guys into voting for a hateful and divisive ideology because we understand that under MAGA everyone loses.¡±

A similar campaign, Win With Black Women, on Sunday also drew 44,000 participants and raised more than $1.5 million in just three hours for Harris.
There is also a ¡°Cat Ladies for Harris¡± Zoom call being planned in response to comments from Trump¡¯s running mate, J.D. Vance, in which he insulted the vice president as a ¡°childless cat lady.¡± Additionally, a similar call titled ¡°Latino Men for Kamala¡± is in the works. There have also been calls featuring Black men, white women, and Hispanic supporters.

The entry of Harris into the Presidential race has revitalized the Democratic camp, which until recently had accepted a Trump return to the White House as likely. Despite his popularity, many within the party felt that Biden was too old and weak to challenge an energized Trump and the MAGA campaign come November.
