The 16th edition of the Business Conclave 2024, home to Asia's largest undergraduate management fest, was organised by the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in Delhi from 14th March to 16th March 2024. The eminent institution with a solid reputation with the country¡¯s best students studying here.
The SRCC Business Conclave is one of the largest events of its kind in the country and is attended by thousands of students from all over India. It is framed to enrich students with an opportunity to learn about the latest trends and developments in business and to interact with leading experts in the field. One of the key features of the SRCC Business Conclave is its diverse range of speakers and panelists. In addition to this, the event also consists of various masterclasses and workshops, and national-level case competitions. The event features some of the most prominent business leaders, ranging from CEOs and entrepreneurs to journalists and policymakers, from various domains, providing students with a broad perspective on the world of business. By hearing the stories and experiences of successful individuals, students are encouraged to pursue their dreams and aspirations and to work hard to achieve them.
SRCC Business Conclave 2024 presented by Punjab National Bank emphasized on ¡°Igniting Leadership, Inspiring Excellence¡±, where the students challenge themselves and elevate their full potential. The students got a chance to meet the prodigies of their fields, the ones who lead by example, right in the home of the prestigious SRCC Business Conclave 2024.
The inaugural day dawned with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, a ceremony graced by Shri Ranjan Gogoi, Former Chief Justice of India, and Prof Simrit Kaur, the Principal of SRCC. As they ignited the symbolic beacon of knowledge and enlightenment. From prominent lawmakers to young entrepreneurs to our proud international sports players, the lineup of the event was as diverse and dynamic as the symphony of success itself, orchestrating a harmonious blend of wisdom, innovation, and athleticism that echoed through the halls of inspiration.
The first day started with an enlightening session with Shri Ranjan Gogoi, where he shared his experience and insights to India's judicial system and its prospective growth in various sectors. Our principal also reiterated Shri Ranjan Gogoi¡¯s vision of growth and justice in India and his commitment to fostering a culture of growth and excellence for a prosperous and empowered India through Vikshit Bharat. Another highlight of the day, the fest had the privilege of hosting the launch of the movie song, ¡°Not Funny¡± from the upcoming film, ¡°The Madgaon Express'' featuring lead actors Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Nora Fatehi, and Avinash Tiwary who along with their director, Mr. Kunal Khemu, arrived at SRCC. Subsequently, Sachin Pilot took the stage with a resolute determination to enact political change. He passionately engaged the audience, emphasizing the criticality of actions and the significance of voters' decisions in shaping the political landscape. To invoke a sense of drive and determination, Ms Shweta Singh, news reporter for Aaj Tak, graced us with her presence. She highlighted the challenges and dangers surrounding journalism, by sharing her experiences, recent trends. As the final speakers of the day, Mr. Aman Dhattarwal and Ms. Shraddha Khapra eloquently emphasized the significance of innovation and entrepreneurship, offering insights on struggles, bootstrapping, market dynamics, consumer needs, and the power of self-belief.
The second day of the fest had the privilege to witness G.C. Murmu, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, where he shared his perspective on good governance and the importance of ethics. He discussed the role of CAGI in-depth, sharing the body¡¯s role and functioning to ensure transparency in the governance. Subsequently, the students had the opportunity to meet Revant Himatsingka, the FoodPharmer. His battle to ensure healthy food products are being delivered to the consumers had mesmerised the audience. The important sections to read before buying any food product: the front package, nutrition label, and ingredient list, had created an awareness among the audience that it would be implemented in the future by them. Mr. Nitin Vijay, also fondly known as NV Sir by his students, entered the stage sharing his experience both as a student and as a teacher. He emphasised the importance of clarity and abiding by it.
The closing day brought smiles to the faces of everyone, listening to the rapid progress of Jammu and Kashmir after the change in law. One of the hands behind this news is Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir who graced us with his presence. He shared the transformation of Jammu & Kashmir, which now is a hub for industrial growth and progress. As an inspiration to people wishing to enter the entertainment sector, Sanjana Sanghi shared her experience and progress in both the entertainment industry and her constant drive to humanitarian causes. In the quest to highlight the importance of the right to life, justice, and information, Mr. Vivek Agnihotri shared his perspective on the current generation¡¯s lack of creativity and free will. He shared the importance of both aspects in life and for future survival.
Each day of SRCC Business Conclave 2024, enjoyed a cultural performance, such as music performance from SRCC¡¯s very own Indian music society, Aarohan, showcase of dance moves from SRCC¡¯s Western
Dance Society, Panache and Indian Dance Society, Kalakriti. We also had the privilege to have a music performance from Justh, the singer of the famous song, ¡°Chor¡±.
In a momentous stride towards fostering innovation, the SRCC Business Conclave 2024 proudly shares the success of its latest jewel ¨C the Startup Conclave. Positioned as the gateway to entrepreneurial triumph, this premier event beckoned startups to the forefront of industry transformation. Envisioning a dynamic ecosystem where startups not only presented groundbreaking ideas but also forged connections with seasoned investors, offering unparalleled access to industry experts, business executives, angel investors, and personalized mentors were the key highlights of the Startup Conclave. The Startup Conclave was a realm where innovation sparks opportunity, networking fuels success, and each startup commands the spotlight, amplifying the spirit of entrepreneurship at Asia's Largest Undergraduate Management Fest.
In addition, the fest also hosted a variety of national-level competitions that challenge the students¡¯ potential and pushed them to put their best foot forward. Eight competitions are held under the umbrella of the Conclave - Shri Ram Case Competition, Indian Silicon Valley, The Big Sho(r)t, Policy (K)nights, Anthropos (K)apital, Market Mania, Sustainup and Maestro: The Best Manager.
