Is Triple H, the Chief Content Officer of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), on his way out of the company? If you believe former WWE head writer Vincent Russo, "The Game" could leave the promotion in 2025.?Russo, who has been associated with WCW, WWE, and TNA, made his prediction on a recent episode of his podcast.??
According to Russo, Triple H could be replaced by a close friend of The Rock, who is reportedly keen on returning to the wrestling promotion, which is now owned by TKO Group.??
"Guys, I have said this, and I am not gonna go off of my prediction. I think Hunter will be gone from WWE in 2025. I'm sorry, these lawsuits are gonna develop. A lot more is gonna come out of them," Russo said.??
He also pointed out the close ties between The Rock and Ari Emanuel, the CEO of TKO's parent company, Endeavor, to justify his claims.??
"Ari Emanuel has The Rock on the board. Ari Emanuel and The Rock have a very, very, very long relationship. And The Rock is so key to this because why do I need Triple H if I got The Rock? You don¡¯t think The Rock doesn't have a laundry list of people that he'd want to hire and bring into the fold? Brian Gewirtz at the top of that list. I don't really see a need for Triple H if Ari¡¯s got Rock in his back pocket," he said.??
Triple H has been with WWE since 1995, initially as a wrestler and, of late, in an executive role.??
The 14-time world champion is also the son-in-law of WWE founder and former Chairman Vince McMahon.??
Triple H, whose real name is Paul Levesque, had briefly stepped in to replace McMahon, who had retired as the CEO of WWE. Triple H was made the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Head of WWE Creative.??
Many had expected Triple H and his wife, Stephanie McMahon, to inherit WWE from Vince, but in 2023 the wrestling promotion was sold to Endeavor.??
Vince was soon forced to leave WWE amid several serious sexual assault allegations.
