84-year-old Roy Jorgen Svenningsen of Canada has created history by becoming the oldest person to complete the Antarctic Ice Marathon.
As per a CTV report, Svenningsen started the race on December 13 and it took him 11 hours and 41 minutes to finish it.
"At one point, I thought, I don't think I'm going to do this all the way," he said.?
"I wanted to finish it, and that was it," he added.
?"I just thought I better get it done," he went on to say.
He is a retired oil worker from Edmonton has been running since 1964. For this 42-km he trained for a year.
The Antarctic Ice Marathon is one of the toughest races in the world.
