Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat on Friday created history by defeating Brazil's Whindersson Nunes the?middleweight class in Netflix's first-ever Live sporting event. Goyat won the bout in a unanimous decision, with the?final scoreline reading (59-55, 60-54).
The fight between Goyat and Nunes kickstarted arguably one of the most highly-anticipated sports events of the year where boxing legend Mike Tyson will face off against Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
33-year-old Goyat (19-4-2, 8 KOs) who went into the fight as the favorite considering his experience started the bout on a dominant note and took the first round with 10-9 scoreline.
The Indian boxer continued to dominate the fight, landing a total of 171?punches compared to?87?landed by Nunes. Goyat dominated his opponent throughout the bout, leaving him little to no room to make a comeback. In the sixth and final round, Nunes had to run for cover form Goyat by getting into the ropes.?

Goyat, who was the first Indian boxer to have made it to the WBC world rankings, was also the first Indian professional boxer to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics qualifications in Venezuela, where he earned a bronze medal.
