India's star badminton player and London Games bronze medallist Saina Nehwal was targeted by a twitter troll after compatriot PV Sindhu's semi-final win at the Rio Olympics. Not one to be intimidated by the individual's jibe at her, the 26-year-old responded in the most polite way ever.?
Sindhu's win over Japan's Okuhara on Thursday night gave India its best-ever woman Olympian, assuring at least a silver medal. The mass euphoria surrounding Sindhu reached a limit when a certain twitter user said this...
To this came a humbling reply from the champion shuttler...
?Aware of the blunder that the guy made, he soon felt the guilt and tweeted an apology...
His apology was gracefully accepted by Saina.
But the guy who never expected such a polite reply was left to rue his decision to comment against Saina, who is still World No 5 in badminton.
Seeing Saina's kind heart, the real Saina fans came out in massive show of love and support for the player.?
Saina is currently admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad to undergo treatment for her knee injury which affected her progress in Rio Olympics. She had lost her second group match against Ukraine's World No 61 Maria Ulitina 18-21, 19-21 to crash out of the tournament. Saina had said the injury happened during training before the Olympics and it got worse during the match.
