The Under-19 World Cup is over. The Boys in Blue went down fighting in the final to lose by 3 wickets to Bangladesh. But having said that, the only game they lost in 6 matches was the title clash. While we may not have brought home a 5th World Cup, we certainly have found players who could make it big in the future.
The Under-19 teams have always been a good source to judge talent. The likes of Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli and Mohammad Kaif made their bones at Under-19 level before coming on the radar of selectors. So it is not too much to say that there are some potential India stars in the current lot.?
One should not jump the gun and all these players do have a difficult road ahead but some of them truly show promise and it shall not be surprising if one sees them in the senior side sooner than later.?
So who are these guys? Let's take a look:?
?The youngster topped the run charts with 400 to his name in the tournament. He hit an unbeaten ton in the semifinal vs Pakistan and made 4 more scores of 50. In the final his 88 was the only knock of note as India were bundled out for 177. Blessed with the gift of timing, he is certainly looking to punch above his weight.?
?The skipper of the side and a handy middle order player. Can be the ideal finisher in the years to come and is certainly making waves in junior level which are being heard from higher up.?

?Gloves like lightning, a good hitter with the bat, Dhruv is a MS Dhoni in-the-making. Already being compared to Captain Cool, he is definitely a candidate to make it into the senior side if he applies himself.?
?He is quick and accurate. The 11 wickets in the World Cup prove that he is very handy with the new ball and has genuine pace. With India looking to build a potential pace attack, Tyagi could pick up the mantle from the likes of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah once they pass it on.?
?With 17 wickets from 6 games, he was by far the best bowler of the tournament. Can turn the ball sharply and has an effective googly. Certainly an option for the Men in Blue in the not-so-distant future. ?????
