When COVID-19 first hit the world, we saw so many tech giants come together to deal with problems faced by our world, whether it was the shortage of PPEs or ventilators etc.?
And one brand that surely came into the highlight was gaming peripheral maker Razer when it announced that it will be donating 1 million face masks to fight shortage.
Razer co-founder and CEO, Min-Liang Tan, had revealed in a Facebook post, that they¡¯ve been working on creating masks in their manufacturing facility to give to the world during this grave shortage.?
During this time, he stated, ¡°This emergency conversion of some of our lines and donation of masks is the first step of many that Razer will take. We are committed to contributing our extra time, resources, effort and talent toward the fight against COVID-19.¡±
While they were combatting this shortage, and developing masks, they made some really cool fabric ones for their staff with the three-snake insignia. And most of the employees truly loved it and wanted this to be offered to their fans too, looking at the current situation.
So he, through a Facebook post, announced that he¡¯s going to be selling fabric face masks for a very limited time, in the coming few weeks. He claims that these masks are made from 95 percent BFE filtering fabric which he says is similar in some cases to the surgical grade masks, but loads better than regular fabric ones that people are using.
He has also announced that he¡¯ll soon be doing a giveaway of these masks next week for the Top Fans on the Facebook page.
The mask itself looks not very different from the regular fabric ones we¡¯ve seen being sold online. They don¡¯t have N95 filters and clearly they aren¡¯t medical-grade, but they surely seem fine for basic commuting. Regardless, it will surely look cool as a fan merchandise.?
