Going forward, Indian players face the England cricket team at Indian grounds, for which the latter has now arrived. Welcoming the visitors from afar is another noted cricket fan, none other than the CEO of Google - Sundar Pichai.

Taking to Twitter recently, Sundar Pichai welcomed the England cricket team as they touched down at his hometown of Chennai on Wednesday.?
Looking forward to the test series between the two teams, Pichai wrote -?¡°Welcome to my hometown @englandcricket wish was there for the game, should be a great series.¡±
This isn't the first time?Sundar Pichai?has often shown his fascination and love for cricket, especially the Indian cricket team. He had his fanboy moment meeting the legendary Sachin Tendulkar at The India-England match at Birmingham in 2019, where Sachin tweeted stating ¡®Kya Sundar Pic Hai¡¯.
In a conversation with students at the SRRC in New Delhi,?Pichai?shared how he loved cricket and even wanted to get into cricket while keeping Sunil Gavaskar as his idol, "I did dream of being a cricketer like so many Indians. I used to be a huge fan of Gavaskar when he was playing and later, Sachin (Tendulkar) when he played."?Other than cricket,?Pichai?is also a fan of football and is a fan of Barcelona as well as followed players like Lionel Messi.
Winners of the last cricket World Cup held in 2019, England cricket team has arrived in India for a four-match test series against the Indian cricket team. The team is headed by Joe Root and will play their first two test matches in the city of Chennai.
Reports indicate that some of the Indian team players and support staff have also reached the southern city. The players will stay in a bio-bubble in their hotel as per the quarantine policy and will undergo Covid-19 tests afterwards. They are scheduled to begin with their practices on February 2, indicates a TOI report.
The first Test will be played at the MA Chidambaram stadium from February 5. The second test will commence from February 13.
The England team comes to India after a clean sweep of the test series against Sri Lanka. The 2-0 series win was propelled by captain Joe Root¡¯s two big centuries during the tests. The match between the two recent winners is thus much awaited by the world alike.
