Elon Musk is going after popular artificial intelligence chatbots again, claiming that they're biased towards liberals while simultaneously announcing to launch his own version called "TruthGPT." Sounds familiar, anyone? Former United States President Donald Trump launched his Twitter alternative "Truth Social" to counter the same so-called bias.
On April 17, Elon Musk told Fox News that he plans to create a ChatGPT alternative that will be a "maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe." Why, you wonder? Besides his disdain for the so-called liberal bias, Musk believes that an AI tool that intends to understand humanity is less likely to destroy it.
Musk also claimed that he's worried about ChatGPT being "trained to be politically correct." Not sure why being cognisant of diversity in society and being sensitive to others is a problem for Musk, but he asked for more regulation of artificial intelligence, saying AI is "more dangerous" than cars and rockets with the potential to destroy humanity.

This is not the first time Elon Musk has made his problems with AI public. Earlier this month, Musk, along with along technologists (including Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak) signed an open letter calling for a six-month halt on AI development until more government regulations were in place.
Recently, Elon Musk also set up a company called X.AI that was incorporated in Nevada on March 9. Twitter's new parent company, X Corp. is also registered there. For X.AI, Elon Musk is listed as the sole director and Jared Birchall is listed as secretary.
