Elon Musk took to Twitter to share yet another controversial idea of his. For a change though, the tech entrepreneur did not talk about any of his firms this time around. Instead, he shared a thought provoking argument on the weed business in the United States.
In a twitter thread posted late Friday night in the US, Musk argued that keeping people in prisons on charges related to weed is not justified anymore. To prove his point, he cited the now legalised weed business in the country which was open even during the pandemic.
As per Musk, the transition on the take of weed or marijuana being used in the nation has changed over the years. What was once a serious felony is now a legally and openly traded commodity and Musk pointed out that it just does not make sense to keep people in prison anymore on its account.
He tweeted, ¡°Selling weed literally went from major felony to essential business (open during pandemic) in much of America & yet many are still in prison. Doesn¡¯t make sense, isn¡¯t right.¡±
To raise the anticipation of the twitterati, the tweet by Elon Musk was preceded by another tweet reading ¡°This will probably get me into trouble, but I feel I have to say it.¡± Many started pondering over what is to come from the SpaceX CEO, who is notoriously famous for his outbursts on Twitter.
Many anticipated that the oncoming tweet would revolve around one of Musk¡¯s many companies, while others feared that the stock prices of Tesla will drop down again. These were not just guesses as such an event was observed in the month of May with Musk¡¯s outburst on the Coronavirus induced lockdown in America.
In a classic Musk way, the topic was totally out of bounds for anyone to even make an educated guess. Though in no way it looks like another one of his outburst as before. This tweet has genuinely instigated people to think. Whether Musk was high at the time of writing the tweet? People are still debating on that.
At least this one won¡¯t make Tesla lose millions of dollars!
Then again, it is not always a riled up Musk that lands on Twitter. After the successful SpaceX launch earlier this week, Musk shared an emotional tweet on the 18-year long journey of the company to complete its objective. A Tesla user even caught up with Musk at a supercharger and shared clips from the meeting on Twitter, portraying him as a?¡°Super duper cool guy.¡± Looking at both sides, Musk cannot be deemed any less than a total package for the twitterati.
