Have you ever been let go from a job without any explanations? This happens more often than we think, but often we get to hear hilarious tales like the one you're just about to read.
A Reddit user who goes by the username TulThrowMeAway recently shared their tale of being fired from a job. They were working remotely and everything appeared normal until they were informed to leave the company abruptly. At this moment, the company asked the individual to ship back the $500 laptop that they were provided with, BoredPanda reported.
In the aftermath of being fired abruptly, the Reddit user decided to make the shipment as expensive as possible. This is what people have started to refer as "Malicious Compliance."
The employee was asked to ship back the laptop themselves after being laid off. "Seems like a lot to ask of someone you just got rid of like a piece of trash," they wrote on Reddit.

The company apparently gave the individual their shipping account code and told them they can charge it on their account. When the fired employee went across town, they were told that the code doesn't work and they might have to pay out of pocket.
This naturally annoyed the Reddit user more. The company then told the person that they can pay out of pocket and that they'll be reimbursed. So what did they do?

They found the most expensive shipping option and added some bathroom tiles into the box to make it extra heavy. To make things more expensive, they shipped the mouse and power supply separately with added tiles. This increased the cost up to $840, while the laptop itself cost $500.
Later, the Reddit provided some more information and claimed that they were finally reimbursed with the money. What would you have done in a situation like this? Let us know in the comments below.?For more in the world of?technology?and?science, keep reading?Indiatimes.com.
