iPhone 13 could come with increased battery capacities along with a wider 5G support over existing models, predicts a novel report by market research firm TrendForce.

The report also highlighted that Apple has also implemented a new way of manufacturing iPhones that are expected to help it reduce overall costs.
Talking about the advancements in battery performance, the report revealed that the upcoming iPhone is expected to sport an all-new flexible charging circuit board that would come along with a System-in-Package to allow a little more space on the inside, allowing Apple to add a larger battery pack.?
The newer A15 Bionic chip is also expected to be based on a 5 nanometre+ node that could enable better performance along with additional battery efficiency compared to the A14 on the existing iPhone 12.
Better 5G connectivity is expected through millimetre wave (mmWave). Previous leaks have already hinted at an upgraded display with hints at a high refresh rate screen as well as advancements in the camera hardware, particularly with the 13 Pro that will sport an improved wide-angle lens.

A leak last week (reported by 9to5Mac) hinted at the device to launch during the third week of September, just like previous iPhone launches (except the iPhone 12 which got pushed to October 2020).?
Trendforce has also predicted the kind of demand the iPhone 13 will be subjected to. It states that it could see an increase of sales of iPhones by 30 percent year on year, during the third quarter of 2021, if it does launch in September as leaks have suggested.?

In terms of pricing of the new iPhones, Trendforce is of the belief that it would remain in the same line as the iPhone 12 series. The firm said in a statement, Ą°As for retail prices, the iPhone 13 series is expected to remain similar to the iPhone 12 series assuming Apple is able to effectively control manufacturing costs, since the latest models do not come with significant hardware upgrades. As a result of this aggressive pricing scheme, iPhone shipment will likely maintain its growth trajectory for two consecutive years.Ąą
