The latest update to Windows 11 puts artificial intelligenceat the centre. With Windows 11 version 22H2, Microsoft claims it wants toreinvent how people perform tasks on their PCs.
There are a multitude of new features supported by AI, butthe standout feature is for iPhone users with Windows 11 PCs. Microsoft isextending its amazing Phone Link offering to iOS that will launch as a previewto Windows Insiders.
iOS users can now link their iPhone directly to Windows 11PCs. For Android phones, Phone Link allows users to make calls straight fromtheir PC, even offering access to their pictures and notifications. After a"small percentage" of Windows Insider members get a chance to use PhoneLink on iPhones, it will be rolled out to all users.
Simply grant PhoneLink permissions to your iPhone and then receive and send iMessages and SMSmessages. But there's no support for group chats or sending photos and videosyet.

However, in the absence of a full message history, allmessages are shown as grey bubbles, thereby dissolving the demarcation betweeniMessages and SMS texts (good on you, Microsoft!).?Phone Link is also now stronger for Android phones,especially if you own a Samsung device.
Other new features include the inclusion of AI-powered Bingsearch in the Windows taskbar that makes searching the internet much faster.

In addition, users can now use the built-in screen recorder in Snipping Tool, and take it a step further with Windows Studio Effects. Othernew tweaks include improved braille display support, full screen widgets, andnew energy recommendations. If you're a writer and use Notepad on a daily basis, the updated Notepad finally has support for tabs!
