In June, at Reliance¡¯s 44th Annual General Meeting, Reliance lifted the veil over its JioPhone that was developed in collaboration with Google dubbed JioPhone Next. The phone promised to be an affordable smartphone running Android.

But nothing else was revealed about the smartphone then except for the fact that we could expect the device to roll out during Ganesh Chaturthi this year. However today, leaks have shed light on the kind of hardware we can expect from the device.
The specs were shared by Mishaal Rahman, Editor-in-chief of XDA Developers on Twitter along with a screengrab of the boot screen of the phone. The screen revealed the text, ¡°JioPhone Next Created with Google.¡±
According to the leaks, the device is expected to sport a 1440x720 pixels display. Under the hood, it'll be powered by Qualcomm¡¯s humble QM215 system-on-chip -- a 64-bit quad-core processor paired with Adreno 308 GPU.?
For connectivity, the chipset comes with a Snapdragon X5 LTE modem with support for Bluetooth v.4.2, GPS as well as support for LPDDR3 memory and eMMC 4.5 storage.?
In the camera department, the device is expected to sport a 13-megapixel single shooter at the back and an 8-megapixel shooter at the front for selfies.?

The device will be running on a toned-down skin of Android dubbed DuoGO that will sport memory optimisations to help the device run smoothly on low RAM.?

The device is expected to be unveiled on September 10 and is expected to go around Rs 4,000 or around $50. It¡¯ll be interesting to see if Jio actually goes through with this pricing.
