How far would you go to get your hands on an iPhone? A woman in southeastern China chose an unusual approach when chewed through an anti-theft iPhone cable at a local Apple store to get her hands on an iPhone 14 Plus.
The security footage shows the woman halting in front of the display and observing the device for a little while. She then proceeded to bite its anti-theft cable and began to chew on it for a while.
After some chewing, the woman was able to free the iPhone from its cable. She hid the phone in her bag and fled the store eventually. Naturally, the dismemberment of the cable triggered an alert but the staff didn't act on it immediately.
The woman remained at the store for a while after stealing the iPhone and browsed products momentarily after which she left the store. When the store staff noticed the torn cable and the missing iPhone, they called the police.
