CDC highlights three conditions that need to be met before someone who¡¯s COVID-19 positive or has COVID-19 symptoms wants to meet other people.
The first condition is that the person needs to be fever-free for three days. Second, the person should show betterment in respiratory symptoms like coughing or breathing issues.?
Thirdly and most importantly, the person should put them in a full 10-day quarantine after symptoms first appeared. Only after clearing these three conditions, it can be deemed safe to meet someone.?
In case you¡¯re tested positive for COVID-19 but are asymptomatic, then you should ideally wait for 10 days after finding out the positive lab result.?
The CDC site states, ¡°Depending on your healthcare provider¡¯s advice and availability of testing, you might get tested to see if you still have COVID-19. If you will be tested, you can be around others after you receive two negative test results in a row, at least 24 hours apart¡±
According to CDC, in case you interacted or came close to someone who could be COVID-19 positive, you should undergo a self-quarantine for 14 days from the date of exposure.?
You should also look standard for COVID-19 symptoms including fever/chills, cough, difficulty breathing, fatigue, sore throat, headache, etc.
