2020 has been a terrible year and it is showing no signs of slowing down. Whether you talk about the Australian Bushfires or the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Californian wildfires or even the hurricanes we saw a few weeks ago in the Atlantic. It¡¯s just getting worse by the day.?
We often see?hurricanes?surface, cause catastrophe and eventually phase out into oblivion. However, recently, we¡¯ve seen a hurricane come back to life, in the form of a tropical storm.??
The hurricane that has been resurrected (so to speak) is the hurricane Paulette. It formed earlier this month as one of the five active tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean. It had made its landfall in Bermuda as a Category 1, only getting stronger to turn Category 2 over the island on September 14. The storm eventually lost its speed and was later termed as a post-tropical low-pressure system.
However, now it has regained its strength to become a tropical storm once again, as reported by the National Hurricane Center. It was spotted on Monday roughly 300 miles off the coast of the Azores islands.
The National Weather Service tweeted Tuesday morning stating, ¡°Because 2020, we now have Zombie Tropical Storms. Welcome back to the land of the living, Tropical Storm #Paulette.¡±
In case you¡¯re wondering if this is the first time we¡¯re seeing a storm rise up from the dead, you¡¯d be surprised to know that something like this was most recently witnessed in the year 2004 with Hurricane Ivan.?
Also, even though we have a zombie storm on the loose, it isn¡¯t going to live for very long, as according to a National Weather Service forecaster, the storm will pass over cooler ocean waters and come across winds that will reduce the cyclone¡¯s intensity in the next few days.?
Well, looks like now would be a good time to power the Cessna in Flight Simulator 2020 to fly through the zombie storm.?
