In a first, a 41-year-old female musician has set the world record for the highest ever classical concert after taking a grand piano 5,000m up a Himalayan mountain pass.?
Evelina De Lain, a pianist from London, carried the grand piano up to the Singela Pass in the Himalayas, India, along with a team of mountain climbers.?
Lain performed Chopin¡¯s Nocturnes No. 2 in E flat major and No. 20 in C sharp minor during the 90-minute performance in India, reports The Independent.?
?¡®Concert in the Clouds¡¯ was to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the piano was donated to the local school, states the report.

The concert was a tribute to her mother who was also her best friend said Evelina. After Evelina¡¯s mother passed away in 2017, she bought a piano from trip organiser Desmond Gentle and she hasn't stopped since.
