BBMAs 2024: BTS' Jungkook takes over Billboard Music Awards, paves the way for K-pop artists globally
The nominations for the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) have been revealed, and leading the way among K-pop artists is BTS' Jeon Jungkook. He earned six nominations, including Top Global K-pop Artist and two nods for Top Global K-pop Song for his tracks Standing Next to You and 3D.?
With six nominations, some even outside the K-pop category, it not only proves BTS' role in paving the way for K-pop artists but also highlights the impact of Jungkook as a solo singer and performer over the past year. Not just him, his bandmate Jimin has also secured a nomination for his track Who. Other K-pop stars receiving recognition include SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, ILLIT, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), among others.
?In addition to these K-pop artists, several other major musicians including Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, Drake, Beyonc¨¦, Sabrina Carpenter, and Zach Bryan have received nominations. The 2024 Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast on December 12, hosted by Michelle Buteau. Here's a look at the categories featuring K-pop artists.
