Diddy to remain behind bars as judge refuses his plea to await trial at a private island, check out his new offer

In another major blow for Sean Diddy Combs, aka Diddy, a judge denied his latest bail request. It was the hip-hop mogul's third attempt at securing bail before his impending trial next year. Diddy, 55, has been locked up at New York's Metropolitan Detention Center since his arrest in September on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

'That is not going to work'

Diddy will remain behind bars as U.S. District Judge Arun Subramaniam squashed his plea to allow him to wait for his trial on a private island. Refusing to entertain his demands, the judge said, "That is not going to work."

Diddy's lawyers' alternative proposal

His lawyers proposed an alternative: house arrest at his luxurious Upper East Side New York City home, with 24/7 surveillance and no internet access, allowing him to use his phone only to communicate with his legal team.

The proposal boasted an uptight arrangement, featuring three guards posted around the property, with two stationed inside the three-bedroom apartment alongside him. His lawyers argued that these measures would be "substantially more restrictive" than incarceration itself.

Diddy's whopping $50 million bail package

Diddy's initial 'lucrative' bail proposal included a $50 million bond, primarily secured by the equity in his home. Additionally, his attorneys also surrendered his U.S. passport to alleviate flight risk concerns. His family members, including Janice Combs, Chance Combs, Jessie Combs, D'Lila Combs, and Love Combs, also submitted their passports to Diddy's legal team.

After the initial proposal was rejected, his defense team presented another desperate offer - house arrest with a strict vigilante at all times - to get him before his trial. They also proposed restricting Diddy's contact with women, allowing only close female family members to visit him.

Sean Diddy Combs' life behind bars is a far cry from his luxurious LA mansion. Since his arrest, his legal team has shed light on the challenges he's facing in jail. Diddy's lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said that the food is the most difficult part of his experience in prison.

No 'special treatment' for Diddy in prison

Timothy Smith, who has served time in Brooklyn's notorious jail, recently revealed what Diddy's prison life looks like. He assured that the rapper would receive no special treatment in jail despite his wealth and status. In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Smith stated, "His money and wealth won't get him any benefits." He added that in the federal system, privileges are limited, and even the wealthy are only allowed basic items like a tracksuit and sneakers from the commissary."
