A leopard was recently found meandering between houses and walled terraces in a residential area in Jaipur, Rajasthan. According to emerging reports, the leopard strayed from Jhalana, a leopard reserve, into a colony in Malviya Nagar.
In the following video, between shrieks and high-pitched, panicked voices, an onlooker can be heard cautioning a man standing on the terrace, "Bhaisaab, neeche utar jao (please get down)."?
The incident is reported to have taken place on December 19, 2021, although another report suggests the incident occurred a day before on December 18. The?leopard?was safely retrieved after a rescue operation.
A Dainik Bhaskar report confirms forest officials arrived at the scene, and after tranquillizing the leopard, put him in a cage and removed him from the area.The incident lasted three whole hours, also the amount of time residents found themselves locked inside their homes.
No injuries were reported.

Such incidents are oft-reported but few end in a successful rescue.?
Earlier this month, a leopard was successfully captured?in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, after a rescue operation that lasted four hours. The incident took place at Chaudhary Nihal Singh Inter College in Chharra area. A 15-year-old student was attacked and bitten on his arm.
